IT ASSISTANT (69/19)
Dundee, 35 hours per week
£22,442 - £24,263 per annum
 
Blackwood currently have a vacancy for an IT Assistant in our Business Solutions team, this role will be based in our regional office in Dundee. As we are award-winning investors in innovation and technology, our IT Assistant will play an important role by providing direct and remote technical assistance to Blackwood users for software, hardware and networking to our services across the organisation – a key deliverable within the Business Plan.
 
What are we looking for?
  • Relevant experience of working in an IT support function (desirable)
  • Relevant experience of having a major contribution within an IT project
  • Excellent communication/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • High quality 1st line support to our customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and reactive to urgent issues
  • Confident and proficient in IT systems management
  • Good working knowledge of IT best practices and compliance with relevant legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulations
 
What IT knowledge and skills do I need to have?
  • IT Helpdesk / Remote Desktop Support
  • Extensive experience of Windows 7 and 10 including automated builds/deployments
  • System administration tools including Active Directory, files, securities, and permissions
  • Desktop/Laptop/Tablet operating system builds
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite
 
The IT Assistant will work with the Business Solutions team to deliver our Strategy and Business Plan by ensuring all our IT systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
 
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service and relationship building skills with all Blackwood teams, customers and external suppliers. There is a requirement to travel in this post and while the ability to drive is desirable, it is not essential.
