Blackwood provides high-quality, overnight responders service to people living in the Edinburgh area.  We provide innovative care to people living with physical, mental and long-term disabilities.  The aim of the services is to reduce the number of sleepovers that is currently being used.  Out personalised support places enable customers to live in their own homes independently.  Our customers communicate to staff through video link using our digital care system CleverCogs™ .
We are offering a 28 hour per week contract and look for enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individuals who can deliver care to customers in line with their personal support plans. You will also have the exciting opportunity to engage with our award-winning digital care system, CleverCogs™.
The ideal candidate must have:
  • A passion for delivering high quality care
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills
  • An ability to work independently in the community and as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification (SVQ2), this is not essential as training will be given
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including early mornings from 7am, evenings until 10pm, and weekends.
