Whether it’s our homes, care or staff, we have set standards that ensure the best service is delivered.
We are proud of our proven track record of scoring 5s and 6s (very good and excellent) with the Care Inspectorate who undertake regular announced and unannounced inspections of our Care service provision. All Blackwood reports are available for you to view genuine customer comments noted by the Care Inspectorate and see how each of our care homes rated.
We are registered with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) as a Registered Social Landlord with positive performance credentials. We work with 29 local authorities to ensure we meet and exceed our duties and we are looking at how we can understand and work more closely with local government.
We believe in investing in our staff and are an accredited Institute of Learning and Management (ILM) Centre. All of our care and support employees are working to become qualified and registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and we continue supporting our SVQ programme.
We score exceptionally well because we have exceptional internal standards that have to be met in every aspect of the company. We set our standards very high but always strive to exceed them.
