Paying Your Rent

It is your responsibility for ensuring your rent is paid every month. You can choose how to pay your rent in the following ways:

Direct Debit

Paying by Direct Debit is one of the most convenient and safest ways to make payments. To pay by Direct Debit, you will need to complete a Direct Debit mandate which we can provide you with. Please call us on 03457 125865.

Other easy ways to pay

Online -  24 hours a day, 7 days a week by logging onto the allpay website using your tenancy reference number. This can be found on your rent statement or by contacting the relevant Housing Team. You can also download the mobile app to make a payment.

Allpay - at any Post Office or Pay Point outlet using your Allpay card. You can also telephone Allpay on 0330 041 6497. This service is accessible from any landline or mobile phone with a touch tone keypad and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Standing Order - a safe and easy bank arrangement can be made by contacting your bank to set this service up.

Difficulty Paying Your Rent

If you are having trouble making your rent payments please contact us and we can offer advice to help you avoid getting into debt.

Shelter Scotland

Blackwood provides money & debt advice to all tenants through Shelter Scotland. This service is to help you deal with any benefit problems, money and debt problems and provide general advice to help you with your money.

You can speak to an advisor about:  

  • Understanding what benefits you are entitled to and helping you to claim them
  • Negotiating with creditors regarding other debts(loans, credit cards, catalogues, store-cards, doorstep lenders etc.
  • Help to apply for Discretionary Housing Payments or to the Scottish Welfare Fund
  • A referral to a dedicated fuel debt and energy efficiency advisor
